Doctify, the healthcare review platform for patients, is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Centre for Dentistry, the UK-wide dental experts.

It’s a strong match. As Suman Saha, Medical Director and Co-Founder of Doctify, says,

“Our goal is to always put the patient at the heart of everything we do. And confidently provide better transparency and trust in healthcare. It was clear from the outset that Centre for Dentistry shared that ethos, and we look forward to providing patients with more transparency and choice and access to great Dentists and clinics as a result.”

Centre for Dentistry’s reaction is equally positive. According to Cathal Hayes, Managing Director at Centre for Dentistry,

“We’re very pleased to begin the partnership with Doctify. We share the belief that promoting better trust and transparency in healthcare – dentistry in particular – is extremely important. For us, a dental visit should be a positive and convenient experience, with excellent service from a friendly and knowledgeable team. We are looking forward to working with the Doctify team to help us ensure a better journey and experience for all of our patients.”

Today there’s an increasing global spotlight on UK dentistry, and access to high quality dental treatment has become a hugely important national issue. Centre for Dentistry’s founders launched their first dental practice inside a Sainsbury’s supermarket over six years ago with a simple mission in mind: to provide accessible, professional, affordable dentistry to all.

Good dental health matters because scientific research reveals neglecting your teeth can lead to much more than cavities, extractions and fillings. There’s a strong connection between oral hygiene and heart disease, and gum disease can lead to strokes and diabetes, dementia and even problems in pregnancy.

As the Chief Executive of the British Dental Health Foundation, Dr Nigel Carter, explains on the NHS website, “The link between oral health and overall body health is well documented and backed by robust scientific evidence.”

Despite the importance of oral health, too many people in Britain still neglect their teeth and gums. There’s a sense that it’s ‘only teeth’, and that teeth are somehow less important than other aspects of our physical health. Many people find the dentist frightening and uncomfortable. And not enough of us understand the close links between poor dental hygiene and poor health. Combine all this with the fact that some people have to wait months to see a dentist and it’s no wonder so many of us avoid the dentist altogether.

Centre for Dentistry is a modern breed of dentist, focusing on accessibility and friendly, easy-going preventative dentistry. They provide weekend and evening appointments and are conveniently placed inside Sainsbury’s supermarkets across the country. They are collaborating with Doctify to spread the word and get more British people than ever to commit to looking after their teeth.
