“I think it is really great that patients can read about other patients’ experience of not only me as a clinician, but also skin issues and treatments that they might wish to consult with me about.
I hope that patient stories motivate others to seek help with the right doctor – a patient’s voice speaks louder to other patients than what I can list about myself.”

I was hesitant at first, as I worried people wouldn’t leave feedback or comments would be negative.
However having chatted to colleagues then the Doctify team, I realised that feedback and comments aren’t just a reflection on me but can be helpful in directing patients to the right clinician for their first appointment.
Of course, positive feedback is encouraging and reassures me that I am helping patients. Nonetheless, negative feedback offers me an opportunity to reflect and reach out to those patients to learn more about their experience and how I can improve. When a patient didn’t leave a five-star rating for explanation, I reflected on why this might be.
Some clinics are busy, and certain skin complaints require much more time than others. Going forward, if I feel that time hasn’t been sufficient for someone, I will either offer to bring them back at another time or dictate my letter directly to the patient, outlining our discussion and plan.
