My experience overall was really positive, the groups & the one-to-one sessions were really helpful. I also felt H&I coming in to carry the message was extremely supportive for ongoing support when I left. I felt the timetable was good & had a few other extra bits like yoga, reiki & gong. Swimming & the gym was also offered but unfortunately didn’t happen. I would recommend treatment here for anyone seeking recovery and needing to detox but I think on-going support in the rooms of a 12 step fellowship is imperative for continued sobriety. Thank you being my spring board into recovery, I will be forever grateful!

Excellent support staff & Therapists. Daily schedule is constant but manageable. I was expecting more medical involvement & availability. Grounds are well maintained, the housekeeping could use a regular deep clean incorporated into the schedule, & nutrition has room for improvement. It is lovey to be able to walk to the sea, I personally found the ocean to be very therapeutic.

Entering the lady at reception says straight down the corridor to room 6. Door at the end of the corridor says waiting room 3 so I go back and ask and she says yes. Going in, room 6 says do not disturb. But I’m wondering if it’s been left like that by accident. There’s the sound of wind playing but no sign explaining why so I spend a few minutes trying to figure out if it’s wind or a speaker. This could be handled by explaining clearly where to go and what will happen - particularly important to people who are neurodivergent, which is why I’m here. I’m anxious enough without extra cognitive load. She could say “Straight down the corridor into waiting room 3, the doctor is in room 6. If it shows do not disturb then wait and he’ll be with you shortly. There’s a speaker playing wind sounds to try to put you at ease.”

I had an exceptional experience at The New Life Centre. The staff, each exceptional in their unique ways, were friendly, attentive, and approachable, displaying an abundance of kindness, compassion, and respect tailored to individual needs. The rooms were impeccably clean and tidy, comparable to a five-star hotel. Situated in a rural area teeming with wonderful wildlife, the building provided privacy and a sense of safety crucial for my recovery. The atmosphere is truly conducive to healing. The staff offered various recreational activities without pressure, fostering a supportive environment. The food was not only delicious but also varied, allowing each person to choose according to their preferences and schedule. The overall experience at The New Life Centre has been truly life-changing in a positive way.
