Great experience

Professor Paleri is a highly experienced individual, with extremely high levels of patient empathy and very strong ethics around patient care. I am extremely happy being in his care, and I value my relationship with him immensely.

Professor Paleri is exactly what a patient wants in a specialist. He is obviously an outstanding practitioner - that is apparent from the first moment we spoke. He instilled confidence, was crystal clear in his explanation which was never patronising or simplistic but was entirely intelligible. His examination was crisp and efficient and his further opinion after that was expressed with great clarity and force. He treated me as a person and not just a patient and knowing my job as a lawyer we even had time for him to ask my views on the US Supreme Court! I am an overseas patient and recently came to London for my surgery with Professor Paleri. The surgery and post -surgery recovery were difficult BUT I constantly felt that I was in the safest hands in the world! The Professor always made time to answer all my questions and worries and was exceptional and very professional in every way.

My appointment with Prof. Paleri was arranged quickly which was greatly appreciated. Prof. Paleri carefully explained my diagnosis and the radical surgery needed for an optimum management plan. He was sensitive and kind about my reluctance over this course of action, and was very helpful in answering my questions. He readily agreed to my request to explore the oncology route and arranged for me to see Prof. Harrington. I am still in quite a state of shock about my cancer diagnosis and seeing Prof. Paleri gave me great confidence and reassurance about being "in the arms" of the Marsden (as a friend of mine put it). I felt whatever decision I made, surgical or non-surgical, I could not receive better care than through the Marsden. It has helped me enormously and I will recommend others in my position to do the same - to get in touch with the Royal Marsden as soon as possible.

From my initial consultation with Professor Paleri and recent biopsy I have always been made fully aware of where I stand with regard to my condition and further treatment. More importantly to me now is that I am totally confident I am being diagnosed and looked after by someone who is extremely knowledgeable and thorough.

Professor Paleri is extremely knowledgeable and expert in Head and Neck advice and surgery and is a pleasure to have attending to my needs in that area. The laryngectomy was expertly carried out and his post operative attention is being superb.
