Where do I begin other than saying, Dr. Kiran thank you so much. I have had issues with my periods for quite some time now and I have been putting off seeing a gynaecologist for even longer. I am only 26 and the last time I had any kind of check up was when I was 18 living in the UK. The reason why I kept putting it off was due to my age, not thinking it would be in anyway serious, but I was wrong. While researching the best gynaecologists in Dubai on the Doctify website and knowing the wait list for some doctors can be extremely long, the moment I got in touch with Dr. Kiran and told her my situation she immediately told me to come see her as a walk in. Month on month I could feel my periods getting worse and last month it was unbearable, I have a high pain threshold at the best of times but this was too much, I knew something was up. From the first ultrasound, she noticed I had two ovarian cysts & possible endometriosis. This was a little scary for me but with Usha’s advice, she made it very clear on the options that were available to me. One thing I have to give credit to is the fact the on further research into my diagnosis and all the documentation/videos given from Dr. Kiran post consultation, she is widely known as one of the top surgeons to perform ovarian cyst removal through laparoscopy - but this was not her first recommendation, this was her last. This was due to my age and having surgery around my ovaries. A lot of doctors will try get you to have surgery immediately due to the high costs here in the UAE, but this is not how she works with her patients. In the end, I decided that it would be best for me to move ahead with the surgery to remove the cysts and to have the Mirena coil inserted to help with the endometriosis. My surgery was completed nearly a week ago and thankfully it was a huge success in her eyes and I have had no difficulties post-op which is a huge relief. We have weekly check-ins booked in for aftercare. I was always nervous about having surgery to begin with but these doubts were cleared up by the doctor & her team. The pain I had on my previous period is something I wish I will never have to feel again and this month, it has been such a change which I can’t thank her enough. To Dr. Kiran, her team and all the ladies at Prime Hospital in Garhoud who looked after me post-op, I can’t thank you enough.
