I had researched many consultants / ophthalmologist and had spoken to many too prior to deciding which consultant I should trust with my father’s eyes. (Knowing it was a complex case) I am extremely pleased I/we went with Dr Rupal, from start to finish, the experience has been more than exceptional. As someone who likes to be well informed/detail oriented, I was pleased that she went the extra mile and explained things in detail, to allow us for an informed decision to be made. Dr Rupal, comes with a wealth of experience and I am pleased that we can benefit from her expertise in the Midlands area (as some of this specialist skill set is more easier to access southern UK). On a final note, I would not trust anyone far greater than her with my eyes and as a specialist /ophthalmologist .

Mr Mangwani was very approachable. He explained all of my options clearly and suggested why some may be a better fit for me. Advised me to go away and think about what I wanted to happen next and to come back in a few weeks armed with questions. I felt understood and he explained everything very clearly. He arranged for my x-Ray to be done straight away so I didn’t have to make another journey to the hospital and he then went through the findings. Great experience.

I had a great experience with Lumivision! I had been wearing contact lenses for 15+ years and unfortunately suffered a corneal ulcer which in turn made me decide to look into laser surgery. I had a consultation with Mr Jain who advised that I wait a little longer before going ahead with the surgery to ensure that any infection had cleared up and give the scarring on my cornea time to heal as much as possible. He also advised that we move forward with LASEK so that any potential infection in the future would be easier treated. The surgery went very smoothly and the whole process was complete within 30 minutes. The whole team at Lumivision were incredibly welcoming and Mr Jain talked me through the process step by step as he completed the surgery. The healing process is slower than with LASIK and I was in pain for a few days afterwards with sensitivity to light but this was explained to me beforehand and Mr Jain gave me his personal number in case I needed to contact him for advice (I did not need to contact and made sure to get plenty of rest and use eye drops as directed!) My 6 month check up was last week and I now have 20/10 vision which is better than I had ever imagined! Dryness is very rare for me and I’m very happy that I went ahead with the surgery! My previous prescription was around -4.00 in each eye so the improvement is incredible!
