I was recently and specifically referred by my optician to Saphire Eye Care and Prof. Luff to have treatment on my cataracts. Over recent years I have suffered from oedema in my retina which was now relatively stable and I wanted to receive the highest level of treatment so as to avoid any impact on my retina and a return to the sight problems that I had previously. I understood that there was potential for this to occur with normal cataract surgery. From the time my first appointment was made by Jennie, the medical secretary, through to the cataract procedures I was supported and cared for at every stage. Prof. Luff was very approachable, explained everything, and dvised me on the type of lens suitable for my eyes. The cataract procedure only took about 15 to 20 minutes, was totally painless and as it turned out was nothing to be worried about at all. My resulting eyesight is extremely good and any potential impact on my retina was completely avoided. I can only give Saphire Eye Care and Prof. Luff the highest praise and recommendation. If anyone is concerned about having treatment on.their eyes, eyesight is so important that I would say don't leave it too late and Prof. Luff and Saphire Eye Care is the first port of call that I would recommend.

I'm still working with Karima, but I felt I wanted to share how much has shifted already. I came to therapy struggling with anger issues and relational trauma that was affecting every relationship in my life, particularly with my family. Karima has been brilliant at helping me understand where the anger comes from and, more importantly, how to work with it rather than being controlled by it. She's patient, non-judgemental, and has this way of helping you see patterns without making you feel criticised. The real measure of progress for me is this: I'm actually looking forward to spending Christmas with my family this year. In previous years, I'd dread it - the tension, the miscommunication, feeling misunderstood or easily triggered. But the work I've done with Karima has genuinely changed how I communicate with them and how I manage my reactions. I know I've still got work to do, but for the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful about my relationships and like I'm not constantly battling with myself. If you're struggling with anger or family dynamics, I can't recommend Karima highly enough.

On visiting consultant Subhajit Ghosh a prescription was given to the nurse to be ordered for my next appointment as it was something that was not kept in stock at OSD. I needed to check my diary to see if I could make this next appointment at OSD Healthcare in Hemel Hempstead to have the prescription or, see the consultant at Spire Hospital on another day. On checking my diary I found I could make it and I phoned and arranged an appointment with Subhajit Ghosh. Unfortunately, the prescription had not been ordered so when I turned up for my next appointment I was unable to have my treatment and I would have to see him again another time. I appreciate mix ups happen but thought OSD Healthcare should check their procedures in instances such as this, so that prescriptions are ordered once patients have confirmed they can make future appointments.

Dr. Robinson was excellent with our 13-year-old daughter. Most doctors direct all their questions to us as parents, but Dr. Robinson spoke directly to her from the start. She asked my daughter how she was feeling, listened carefully to her responses, and treated her with genuine respect. It was clear she values her patients as individuals, regardless of age. My daughter felt heard and taken seriously, which made such a difference. Dr. Robinson struck the perfect balance—keeping us informed while empowering our daughter to be involved in her own care. We really appreciated her approach and would definitely recommend her to other families with teens.

I had been in quite a lot of discomfort and loss of vision in my left eye. Mr Modi explained what had happened following my lens replacement many years previously. I was nervous as I suffer from closed angle glaucoma and have had many visits to hospital due to raised pressures over the years. I worried that my pressures may raise after the laser treatment. Mr Modi explained the procedure and I felt more at ease. He checked on how I was feeling through the procedure. I was amazed that I could see clearly again within a few hours. My pressures didn’t raise and I have recovered well. I am very grateful to Mr Modi.

I was thinking about having a breast reduction and tummy tuck for a few years following 3 caesarean births. I phoned river medical, on a friend’s recommendation, and never looked back. Mr Hodgins is highly professional but also very easy to talk to, I didn’t feel embarrassed asking any question. He left no query unanswered or worry unresolved. I am 8 weeks post op now and am absolutely thrilled with the results. They are so much better than I could’ve imagined! My only regret is that I waited so long! If you are thinking about getting this operation, my advice would be to make an appointment with the team

Ms Haque was wiling to explore different avenues in diagnosing me. She was quick to follow up and made sure I was feeling better after the treatment. After a difficult procedure, she let me take it easy and lie down until I felt better. She is an empathetic practitioner, with a lot of experience and professionalism. The only thing I would say the clinic could improve on is communications ahead of the appointment. I think I could have been better prepped for the duration and pain involved in the procedure. Also on my initial visit the clinic didn’t have my medical history which I did submit ahead of time.

Mr Pavier is excellent in his field. He has a lovely sense of humour which put me at ease. I saw him for a Morton’s Neuroma problem that was badly operated on by a previous surgeon. My foot is finally free from the MN pain due to Julian’s expertise in decompression. I really don’t know what I would done had I not found Julian. I can’t thank him enough for all his help and kindness.
