Perhaps the most outstanding feature of my experience with Professor Purkayastha was his compassion and clear devotion to what he does. He shows humility and never underestimates the trust placed in him, considering it an honour to be able to help. It was a privilege to be treated by him and my surgery has been a huge success! Special thanks also to Dr Alex Wickham, consultant anaesthetist, who prepared me for surgery and allayed any fears. Also to Marcella who makes everything run smoothly and for always being friendly and helpful.

Very positive experience, treated my issue properly without rushing into surgery. Kept me updated regularly and pushed for a less invasive treatment which was brilliant and has hopefully resolved the issue.

Very good initial consultation. Very attentive and informative on day of surgery. All went well and at follow up appointment was examined and all good so I was discharged.

Mr Aruna Munasinghe has been a brilliant surgeon and consultant. I had researched all treatments with the advantages and disadvantages and as I result I had many questions but Mr Aruna Munasinghe took the time to discuss everything with me, he gave me titles of current evidence and explained all the ins and outs of surgery. I have never met as brilliant a consultant and surgeon as Mr Aruna Munasinghe and I work within healthcare.

It's difficult to find bed and short of staff However ,I never felt forgotten nurses chase me everywhere to make sure I'm ok. Found a bed 3.30 in the morning consultant did the best complete the surgery despite their busy schedule work. Overall I would like to say Thank you and bless everyone in ED and Surgeon took a good care
