For over two years I was tormented by Pulsatile Tinnitus. The noise was so loud it affected every part of my life. Along with the noise, I had constant headaches & dizzy spells. I was unable to sleep & depression was taking over. I was told time & time again. “Its Tinnitus, nothing can be done!” It felt completely hopeless. The surgery & work Dr Makalanda is doing, really is life changing, for so many people. After CT scans it was clear I had a blockage, in what I called my brain vein! Or Intercranial Venous Sinus. Yay, finally a diagnosis! When I met Dr Makalanda he gave me hope. Yes there were risks involved with surgery, but any surgery has risks, right? This surgery needs to be more widely available & GP’s educated that not all Tinnitus is the same! Dr Makalanda is a wonderful doctor, kind, caring & super clever! He explained the complicated surgery to me & throughout I felt in the safest hands. I will be forever grateful to him, for giving me my life. Silence now, really is golden.

Prof. Hadjianastassiou has done major surgery for me, saving my life. I had cancer of my kidney extending into my main vein in the abdomen (the Vena Cava) and he managed to open the big vein and remove the cancer and the L kidney and I am still alive and well 8 years after! In keeping consistency with the other reviewers I found Prof to be an excellent professional but also a human being who cares for his patient. And not only that: his care about me is continuous, so after 8 years, now in 2024, he intervened after my request, and made all the necessary arrangements to have me operated successfully as soon as possible in order to to correct the stenosis of my right renal artery so that my remaining right kidney can be saved. I will be grateful to him as long as I live.

I came to Miss Nung Rudarakanchana in a very distressed state having been diagnosed with a DVT in my right calf after a 12 hour wait in the A and E of the Royal Free Hospital. I was still waiting to be seen after the diagnosis, to find out what medication I should take, and getting more and more anxious when my husband managed to get an appointment with Miss Rudarakanchana in a clinic nearby in Golders Green. She immediately saw my distress and put me at my ease and within half an hour she had scanned my leg, confirmed the DVT and produced a treatment plan for me. She was thorough, kind and helpful. She answered all my questions and was succinct and clear in her advice. I cannot speak more highly of Miss Rudarakanchana - I had arrived feeling desperate and although I realised my situation was still a serious one, I left feeling I had been given the best possible advice and treatment plan. I have seen her subsequently for two follow up appointments and each time her kindness and professionalism was evident. If I have any further problems I will not hesitate to contact her. I am very grateful that we found Miss Rudarakanchana and would like to thank her for her care.

Dr Neil Rane was excellent, he was detailed, empathetic as he knew how anxious I was and made the experience as calm and as comfortable as possible for me. He was attentive, knowledgeable and clear in every aspect of my care and would highly recommend him.
