Mr Bidwai completed a complex rotator cuff repair to my right shoulder at the end of September 2018, following a dislocation in February of that year. Whilst I had managed to regain range of movement with physiotherapy my right shoulder remained weak. The surgery was completed as a day patient and after the initial recovery period I attended physiotherapy to build up the shoulder muscles again and had regained a good range of movement and strength in my right arm after a period of 6 months. Mr Bidwai was completely honest with me from day 1 and informed me that I had a reasonable chance of the surgery being successful, although my shoulder would not be perfect. Now some 9 months on, I experience little pain and can once again sleep on my right side. I still do strengthening exercises to maintain my progress. In my experience, I found Mr Bidwai to be very professional, but at the same time friendly and genuinely caring. He took time to explain the procedure and the progression following surgery. The bonus is that I have no scars as a result due to his particular way of suturing the wounds!
