Dr Shoaib was very thorough and ordered the necessary tests required. He was very patient friendly and explained all the results to me throughout. He has a very calm nature and remembered me and my profile from a couple of years ago and offered his assistance if needed in the future.

Absolutely marvellous and highly recommended without hesitation. Martin installed a pacemaker/defibrillator and subsequently carried out routine remote monitoring. His monitoring identified an urgent "VT event" for which he immediately arranged hospitalisation. He carried out ventricular tachycardia ablation which has made me feel much better and eliminated VT events (at least for now). He is very comforting and approachable - always gives the impression that he has ample time for each patient - gives clear explanations about cardiac matters. He strongly empathised with myself and family when my wife was diagnosed with serious illness at same time as my requiring urgent hospitalisation for the cardiac ablation procedure. Nursing staff told me that they found him an excellent colleague. Martin is well organised (together with his PA/secretary). Nothing is too much trouble.

It was brilliant from start to finish. Dr Arujuna explained a complex process very well and treated me as a person at all times. He arranged things quickly and was beside me through all the testing and preparation. The procedure was overwhelming in terms of the technology and expertise involved but I was in safe hands. The results have been spectacular - I can now run over 2 minutes a km faster over 10 plus kilometers and am enjoying running again. I recovered very quickly and am planning a marathon. He also went out of his way to support my sister to get tested, in case she had the same genetic heart condition. I can't recommend him highly enough - a total star.

Good bedside manner. Obviously expert in his field of cardiac arrhythmia. He listened carefully then decided an ablation was needed. Fairly short wait before procedure was conducted very professionally. Advice then out patient appointment was made before next day discharge. Successful outcome.

I am so pleased that, having to wait a very long time for an NHS appointment, I opted for the Health Heart Check at the Wellington Hospital and an appointment with Dr Guttman. He put me at ease straight away and his diagnosis and advice as to how to go forward within the NHS was absolutely invaluable.
