As a 54 year old I was a little nervous about being pregnant at this age, & he assessed my health & fitness & made me feel totally confident about pursuing a pregnancy. Also any question I had however minor he would reply to me in 24 hours maximum. Despite his senior position Mr Attilakos makes you feel totally at ease & makes you feel you can ask any question at all. The whole experience was incredible & I fully intend engaging with Mr Attilakos when I go back to Cyprus for baby no.2. Writing this after a week passed after the labour. The labour induction was scheduled at Fitzrovia UCLH, but the baby decided to arrive two days earlier, at night. When there was full dilation, Dr Shalini allowed me not to push right away but when I’m ready (I think labouring down took about half an hour), also she was able to get out the baby while I was on my knees with just a little stitch. When I was pushing, I wasn’t able to listen to instructions, but I’ve remembered Dr Shalini pushing instructions from our prenatal meetings and it helped. I was able to discharge from the hospital the same day my kid was born and never remembered to take pain killers, never needed them. So if you want to have vaginal birth at Fitzrovia UCLH (if it’s possible in your circumstances) I highly recommend Dr Shalini.

Professor Asma is a great doctor and professional with great bedside manner.

I always felt in extremely safe hands and I trusted Mr Wimalasundera’s judgment. His skills as a surgeon are excellent. My c section went extremely smoothly and my recovery was fantastic, which I credit to Mr Wimalasundera entirely! I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Mr Wimalasundera if I were to become pregnant again. Indeed I’d be delighted!
