My daughter has scoliosis and the curve in her spine was severe. Mr Lucas has straightened her up nicely and we are extremely pleased with the result. The care she received throughout her operation was outstanding. Mr Lucas was very kind and put us all at ease. Although we were apprehensive about the surgery he made us feel confident that everything would be ok and it was! My daughter was walking the next day and within a few days she was also managing to take the stairs. I would happily recommend Mr Lucas to anyone seeking a spinal surgeon.

After a warning from the neurosurgeon & oncologist who had been monitoring the regrowth of my meningioma in September 2023 that it required surgery & as it was a second operation it was at high risk of stroke, bleeding, bone infection, going through old scar tissue, the tumour was pressing against a large vein. My daughter suggested I sought a second opinion, we chose Mr Shoakazemi who also specialises in my type of brain tumour.  He confirmed…the risks were very high indeed, the brain tumour had grown too big for fractionated radiotherapy and surgery through the old wound of some 20 + years ago was the only option. We found Mr Shoakazemi to be extremely approachable, professional, calm, warm & informative.  I feel incredibly lucky to have had the faith on a date said to be the unluckiest day in the yearly calendar …Friday 13th October to undergo surgery with such a gifted neurosurgeon. I am (thankfully to Mr Shoakazemi) walking straight, talking straight & feeling fully blessed.

Timely, helpful in advance of procedure, with extra consideration for my medical history. I had absolutely excellent surgery and inpatient care, which could not have been bettered. Explanations were very good too, but because I already had information from another surgeon in advance, details were less necessary. I am so pleased with my progress in what is still a short time. Thank you.

Filippo has been outstanding I’ve followed his advice over the last few weeks after hamstring issues which have vastly improved. Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere during the appointment, this is the place to visit if you have any sort of concerns it’s been nothing but brilliant!!
