From the appointments in clinic through to the left reverse total shoulder replacement operation & follow up appointments after Mr Akhtar went out of his way to explain what he would be doing. I found him to be generous with his time during appointments - answered questions that l had at the time - he made the appointments feel like you were meeting with a good friend which of course put your mind at rest. I felt l had complete trust that he would end the constant pain & allow me to be more independent with my dressing/daily chores/return to swimming

Following my fall injuring my right shoulder I had an X-ray and CT scan which showed the problem and also the previous injury 13 years ago to the shoulder. The various options were explained and it was agreed to proceed slowly and hopefully that would best the best way to recover
