Dad received outstanding professional care from the Royal Free and Dr Chauhan. The human connectedness and care added made all the difference to his healing and wellbeing. The only downside was the lack of climate adaptedness of the building, with Dad's room often far too hot during the hot summer days. The lack of windows for staff concerns me. Overall, we are extremely grateful for the amazing standard of care that Dad received, thank you.

Follow up report not supplied. Not what was expected. Unable to inform local GP of outcome. Not good value for private practice. Would expect much better. Have been patient at this clinic for over 20 years and am disappointed at this situation which has arisen under new consultant!!!

Dear Mr Bizrah You wanted me to let you know how I was treated by Western Eye Hospital in the Private Wing on the day of the operation, 27July, as you also wanted to make your own complaint about the same. 1) I was refused a bed and was told all have been occupied even when I told them that I am having general anesthetic and this is a private procedure. They said, "this is NHS and not private, no staff is available today on Private". 2) After a lengthy fuss, I was provided with a bed with a bad attitude by nurse called Barmita. 3) Barmita (Indian lady) also said she was a fully qualified medical doctor in India and has applied for a registration and should come through soon. 4) Barmita wiped the the top area of my middle finger but took blood from the complete side of the finger for glucose test. The blood would not come. She then stepped back and asked me to press my finger. I thought that was really gross. Monisha came in the room and told Barmita that you are doing it in the wrong place and pointed to her where she should. 5) Barmita Made me sit in the same room for a long time and I was tired and she wouldn't give me a room until very late. 6) After surgery, I didn't get a vegetarian sandwich to eat and Barmita brought sugar coffee and biscuits.when I had asked for without sugar. I hadn't eaten from last night. 7) Sister came to change my eye bandage and put it very tight without cleaning all wet inside. I had started to panic as I started to have sensation of my upper eyelid was inverted with pain. 8) Mr Din, another doctor came to see me but was not listening to me when I said the patch was too tight and I wanted it loosened. Eventually he did clean the area put a dry patch and covered it correctly. I had no pain afterwards. 9) All this has caused me enormous stress and have made me feel scared. Please don't hurt me. Yours sincerely Hitesh S,
