In my first Appointment, Mr Hopper was very patient and thorough with his explanations of the Procedure and very optimist in his manner. He examined my X-rays and went through the various options for my treatment in an unbiased way, which, since my family was financing the procedure, was very important. I approached the date of the operation, less than four weeks later, with confidence and ease and did the required exercises, along with the guidance of the Ross Hall Hospital, so that I had no anxiety whatsoever. Mr Hopper visited me a few hours before, on the day of the operation, which reassured me, again, and reduced any nerves I was having, since it had begun to resemble my many visits to the Labour Ward for Inductions. Along with the guidance and cheerful manner of his colleague, and Anaesthetist, Dr. Chris Loughrin, the Procedure was apparently quick. I remember nothing, except a few lines from Paulo Nuttini, and I returned to my Ward within a seemingly short space of time. Mr Hopper called in later a few hours later, to reassure me that he was pleased with the outcome and answer my many questions. I had my final appointment with him eight weeks after the procedure, having been walking unaided for the previous five. He answered, again, all of my questions about ongoing pain relief, continuing exercises, driving etc. with clarity and patience and was very impressed by my knee flexibility, Bend and straightening stats. His skill and experience has extended and given me a period of mobility and resulting activity, in my life which would otherwise have been denied to me, and I, my husband and family will always be grateful to him for such a swift and professionally excellent solution to my problem.
