Great care

The staff are lovely but the facilities leave a lot to be desired, especially considering the price. Many things are old or just totally non functioning including the call button in my room. It’s in desperate need of renovation, especially to justify the price.

After a good experience with Guy’s ACU on an NHS cycle, I decided to stay with Guy’s for my private cycle and went for consultant-led care with Dr. El-Toukhy. I cannot express how grateful we are to Dr. El-Toukhy because we somehow managed to get pregnant and I’m now at 9 weeks, even though our chances were on the lower side, but not terrible. The service was also amazing as I had Dr. El-Toukhy’s phone number and could text him with any issue and get a reply or a call in less than half an hour. One time he even contacted me at 10.30 pm to communicate test results which brought us a lot of relief. That man works non-stop and he cares so much; that’s the type of doctor you’d want on your side. Compared to my NHS cycle, I was also so pleased to get such close monitoring during my stims phase. I had 6 scans in total, one every 2 days basically, so we were able to adjust the dose repeatedly. Thoroughly recommended!
