The staff and ambience every thing is good

The hospital is generally OK. The toilet was filthy when I went.

Upon arriving at the hospital I was made to feel important and put at ease. The nursing team were very efficient and calming. Nothing was too much trouble. The theatre team came to see me along with the consultant, who reassured me that I was in good hands.

I got an appointment quickly to see the surgeon who was very thorough and provided an excellent letter outlining the problem with my back and recommendations for surgery.

Clean and warm.

We booked a suite at Portland for an elective c-section. I very much appreciated the consultants at the hospital. Other than my consultant obstetrician, I also had the support of various doctors at the hospital who were all professional, kind, and frequently checked in on me and my baby. The midwives at the hospital were also friendly and supportive. Especially the midwife who assisted during the process of delivery. However, I did note that a couple of the midwives during the night shift had the scent of vape smoke. I was a bit put off as I was sensitive to smell pre and post-delivery and I worried for the health of my baby. All in all, strongly recommended as a top maternity hospital in London.

Again, just a fantastic experience start to finish.
