Rather light approach to my post-op experience. I am seriously concerned as to my post-op progress, yet I felt dismissed. Despite expressing my issues, I had literally 5 minutes consultation while being told that I'm doing great. Constant vomiting and inability to eat\hold the food down 2 months after the surgery does not reflect "doing great" in my opinion. I'm considering seeking a second opinion.

Put me at ease and very helpful despite running late

However, this is just part of what makes an exceptional experience. From the first consultation Professor Purkayastha was attentive and engaged. He listened and responded with clear explanations and positive suggestions. I found him approachable and he addressed any doubts and questions, from me and my family, both knowledgeably and reassuringly and with appropriate humour. Perhaps the most outstanding feature of my experience with Professor Purkayastha was his compassion and clear devotion to what he does. He shows humility and never underestimates the trust placed in him, considering it an honour to be able to help. It was a privilege to be treated by him and my surgery has been a huge success! Special thanks also to Dr Alex Wickham, consultant anaesthetist, who prepared me for surgery and allayed any fears. Also to Marcella who makes everything run smoothly and for always being friendly and helpful.

Mr Dixit successfully performed the required operation. He showed great skill in cholecystectomy and knowledge in related issues. Both pre and post-op care was also excellent. Mr Dixit ensured that all information was clearly explained and fully understood at each stage.

Excellent surgeon who, following diagnosing problem where others had not, operated ridding me of increasing, uncomfortable pain. Very happy that I was able to have the very experienced Mr Shamsi El Hasani as my surgeon. Would highly recommend his expertise as a surgeon & his professional informative & caring manner.

The experience shines through when you speak to Dr Abdalla. Her incredible knowledge is second to none. I feel extremely lucky to have crossed her path when I did. After a successful operation, the after care was just as good. Kind and caring and once again exceedingly knowledgeable, passing this knowledge onto others. Following research into the top surgeons for Gallbladder removal, I found Mr Kerwat. He should be rated 100 stars as he was superb. He explained the procedure very clearly, and on the day he removed my gallbladder via keyhole surgery, leaving me with almost no scarring AND I have had zero issues post surgery. I cannot recommend Mr Kerwat highly enough.
