After receiving an unexpected diagnosis for neuroendocrine cancer at age 32, I did research to help narrow down to which doctors in the UK were leading for treatment of this rare disease. Dr Srirajaskanthan was immediately impressive upon meeting and made me feel safe that I would receive the best care. He was compassionate and took the time to help my family and I understand the diagnosis and next steps. He fast-tracked consultations and scans, so my waiting period before treatment was as short as possible. He was diligent to assess all testing that came before meeting with him, and has helped me have a say in my own treatment journey so I have the highest possible quality of life. I have a long journey ahead with this cancer, but I am in safe hands. I cannot thank him (and his wonderful secretary) enough for being there for my family and I.

My gallbladder was full of stones and needed to be removed to reduce risk of pancreatitis. AXA had referred me yet again to a consultant who was not a surgeon. I would have had to call AXA and have another appointment with a surgeon but Dr Vasilikostas fitted me in after his clinic finished and scheduled me for surgery within two weeks. He was kind, reassuring and professional.

Last autumn, I had my third procedure (over five years) with Miss Pissanou, and in my view, I could be in no better hands. Miss Pissanou is an expert in her field and her bedside manner is exceptional--warm and personable. She also engages you by taking the time to explain her thinking and recommendations. In general, her standards are very high, and she has my complete confidence. She will always be the person to whom I go to first for relevant medical needs, and I will continue to refer others to her.

Clearly an expert in his field with a fantastic bed side manner. His explanations are clear and reassuring and he treated me with courtesy and respect.

During our virtual meeting on Zoom, Dr Abraham effectively communicated and provided me with a level of understanding that I had not experienced with any other healthcare professional. His guidance instilled in me a sense of hope and trust.

From the Moment I met Prof Patel at our first consultation, I knew I was in excellent hands. He explained the surgery that I required (whipple) in great detail and answered the questions that myself and my Wife had with great care and compassion and really made me feel a lot happier and comfortable as to what I should expect over the coming months. In hospital, the Prof once again demonstrated to me his passion for, just being one of the best at what he does. Everytime he came to see how I was progressing, still in hospital, post op, he listen intently to how I was feeling, not just physically but mentally as well and showed me so much compassion, love and care, even on Christmas morning the Prof came in to see how I was doing, he didn't need to, when many had finished work for the holiday. I am recovering really well and have huge admiration respect and gratitude to Professor Ameet Patel, I thank you and all your team. Paul D

Just a terrific surgeon, not only in terms of a successful outcome for a complex incisional hernia, but also in the quality of explanation and care Mr Mohammadi showed throughout my stay in hospital. A talented and very human surgeon. I would wholeheartedly recommend him.
