I am so incredibly grateful to have Dr Paraskevopoulos as my surgeon. From diagnosis onwards, Dr Paraskevopoulos was incredibly clear in his explanations, and really listened and responded to all our questions and concerns. Dr. Yeh is is very patient person and tried his best to explain to me what my problem was and what would be the best solution for me. Everything was very clear after my second visit. He was also very professional in terms of what tests need to be done to identify the real problem causing my backpain. After seeing the results, referred me to a very good specialist for physical therapy. He is following up with me on a regular basis to make sure that I am getting better and my treatment goes well. For over two years I was tormented by Pulsatile Tinnitus. The noise was so loud it affected every part of my life. Along with the noise, I had constant headaches & dizzy spells. I was unable to sleep & depression was taking over. I was told time & time again. “Its Tinnitus, nothing can be done!” It felt completely hopeless. The surgery & work Dr Makalanda is doing, really is life changing, for so many people. After CT scans it was clear I had a blockage, in what I called my brain vein! Or Intercranial Venous Sinus. Yay, finally a diagnosis! When I met Dr Makalanda he gave me hope. Yes there were risks involved with surgery, but any surgery has risks, right? This surgery needs to be more widely available & GP’s educated that not all Tinnitus is the same! Dr Makalanda is a wonderful doctor, kind, caring & super clever! He explained the complicated surgery to me & throughout I felt in the safest hands. I will be forever grateful to him, for giving me my life. Silence now, really is golden.
