Me Jambulingam has been amazing. He made me feel at ease on the day of my gallbladder surgery, he explained everything clearly and even helped lead me in the right directions for my gastric sleeve I had 3 years ago. My follow up appointment was quick and officiant. I’ve been discharged and have been told what I will need for any on going treatment. I would recommend Mr Jambulingam to anyone suffering like I was. He has been amazing. He has given me his number and email so I can contact at any time if I have any further concerns. Amazing man! Thank you for giving me my life back!

My gallbladder was full of stones and needed to be removed to reduce risk of pancreatitis. AXA had referred me yet again to a consultant who was not a surgeon. I would have had to call AXA and have another appointment with a surgeon but Dr Vasilikostas fitted me in after his clinic finished and scheduled me for surgery within two weeks. He was kind, reassuring and professional.

I came across Mr Munasinghes profile whilst searching for local bariatric surgery consultations and was instantly drawn in! Prior to my appointment with Mr Munasinghe, I had seen two other bariatric consultants so I had a decent idea of what to expect and what type of questions will be asked. My appointment time was at 5.30pm and I was seen on time. Mr Munasinghe escorted me into his room and the first thing he said to me was ‘you are my last patient of the day so I have all the time for you’. This was such a warm welcome and I instantly knew he is the surgeon for me! My previous experiences have always been negative whenever medical appointments have been at the end of the day so this really meant a lot to me 😊 Mr Munasinghe is extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained my options without making me feel rushed and he showed great care and compassion for my circumstances whilst answering all my questions. Mr Munasinghe considered the wider aspect of my care, outside the surgery itself, and his communication skills were amazing, plus he’s really funny! Working in healthcare and with clinicians myself, he ticked all the boxes for me especially as he highlighted the importance of bariatric surgery involving a multidisciplinary team, and I couldn’t be more grateful for his time, care and professionalism towards me during my consultation. I have already booked my surgery with Mr Munasinghe and I am so excited to begin this journey. I must thank his lovely secretary Ana too, for always replying promptly and for providing all the necessary information and for making this journey as smooth as possible. Absolutely amazing team thank you!

Mr Hashemi was very pleasant. He listed carefully to me, giving me plenty of time. He explained fully what my operation would entail and gave me confidence in proceeding with him.

Professor Purkayastha's surgical success rate and record of procedures is impressive and the results speak for themselves. I had no doubt I was in safe hands. However, this is just part of what makes an exceptional experience. From the first consultation Professor Purkayastha was attentive and engaged. He listened and responded with clear explanations and positive suggestions. I found him approachable and he addressed any doubts and questions, from me and my family, both knowledgeably and reassuringly and with appropriate humour. Perhaps the most outstanding feature of my experience with Professor Purkayastha was his compassion and clear devotion to what he does. He shows humility and never underestimates the trust placed in him, considering it an honour to be able to help. It was a privilege to be treated by him and my surgery has been a huge success! Special thanks also to Dr Alex Wickham, consultant anaesthetist, who prepared me for surgery and allayed any fears. Also to Marcella who makes everything run smoothly and for always being friendly and helpful.

I found Professor Humadi totally attentive, compassionate, professional and considerate to my plight and needs. I never had any doubts to his immense talents and now with hindsight I am very grateful that it was him, Professor Humadi who had been selected to deal with me. It is now a few months since my operation and all that discomfort I had suffered from is a distant memory. Thank you for all you hard dedicated work sir.
