The actual appointment was great, I waited no time at all to be seen, the lady was very friendly and reassuring, and the actual hospital was beautiful and clean. Clean, friendly and super helpful staff on the ward and in outpatients. The location is really convenient to get to from most places. Room was nice - treated to a nice river view!

The Portland Hospital gave me a first-class experience as a patient. My surgeon was exceptional, as was the anaesthetist. The care immediately pre- and post- op was the best possible. The nurses were wonderful: friendly, expert and highly attentive while also allowing some privacy as required. They could not have given me better care in any way. The hospital itself was a remarkably pleasant environment - my room and the whole ward was calm, well-designed and spotless. The food was very good indeed and the ambience was everything I had hoped for. I felt I was in the best possible place and my surgery there has had an excellent outcome.
