I came to Gus with a calf injury which had stopped me running eight weeks out from a marathon. Gus diagnosed the issue, helped me strengthen the muscles to prevent it returning and gave me a training plan that got me back on track. He’s knowledgeable, practical and realistic. He understood I didn’t want a zero risk plan - but to get to the event and complete it (which I did with no pain and a time I’m delighted with). I was greeted with an introduction that explained what Dr Catherine Mathews was qualified in. She did not want to see the letters from the doctors as she preferred to examine the issue so she could make her own diagnosis. This approach was backed up by the outcome that the doctors letter was not addressing the real issue. Plain X-rays and MRI scans are required to further diagnose the issue.

Jacky was very helpful, kind and had a great attitude about my healing process from an ankle injury from the start! He explained every step of his plan for me and adjusted it to my situation and concerns along the way. I felt in very safe hands from the start, and his empathetic and positive attitude has made dealing with my ankle sprain much easier.
