The doctors, nurses and staff are incredibly friendly and clearly care about one another and the patients. Doctors in the Sainsbury’s Wing are fantastic, capable and empathetic but clearly overworked with shifts that are longer than they should be. I would say the same goes for the nurses. There is a serious shortage of staff, which is problematic for a private facility. The building in itself and the rooms are in desperate need of renovation and modernisation. Nutrition needs to be much more of a priority as it forms a crucial part of a holistic treatment.

Happy, friendly, service-oriented people from the reception onwards. Bright, clean and organised environment that made the visit less traumatic (at least for me who is terrorised with just the thought of having to go to hospital/doctors). The fact that in one visit I saw the doctor, got the Xrays done, and then met with the doctor again for his recommendations was simply amazing, efficient and very welcomed. Great hospital with people that seemed happy to serve in an effective and caring manner.

It all went well. All went well. Very knowledgable and skilled. Had failed stabilisation before by another surgeon and saw Prof Imam for a second surgery and I was confident he is the right one.

I had an appointment booked for some Bloods at midday. I was maybe one or two minutes late but was still waiting at 12.20pm at which point i approached the desk to find that they were struggling to check my authorisation number despite me having emailed it to the booking administrator earlier, and despite sitting in the waiting room (so they could have asked me). When I finally went to see the nurse for the tests she didn’t a copy of the request form despite me having emailed it to the booking administrator the previous day. So a further delay whilst she went to ‘get the right tubes’. Please sort out the co-ordination between your departments

HCA ancillary staff were excellent and friendly, putting me at ease. The one exception is that despite being fully covered by private medical insurance (incl pre-authorisation codes and competing multiple online forms and confirming details) the HCA administrative/ reception staff on arrival were overly focused on (and their primary priority is to) obtain credit card details and associated authorisation for extra procedures and tests which go beyond the scope of the referral and pre-authorisation in case suggested. The requested authorisation is open-ended and requested at a point when patients are vulnerable. The HCA admin staff were unable to explain why authorisation was required in my circumstances with full insurance coverage - all they could manage was a weak “it’s just our process”.
