This is the consultant you want in your corner if you need to have a hysterectomy for gynae-oncology reasons, actually probably for any other reason too. There's three things that make Miss Tipples a truly 5 star consultant 1) Her bedside and consulting manner is efficient yet calm, kind and patient 2) She is a brilliant surgeon and I am recovering extremely well from my operation 3) She takes a holistic approach to patient treatment so everyone I needed to see during the pre-op and post-op care were aware of Miss Tipples requirements. This included the radiographer, pre-op nurse and physio as you may expect, but even the housekeeper who explained Miss Tipples likes patients to have a light meal after their op. Lastly, if you do need to see Miss Tipples for gynaeoncology, she follows the best of best practice - even my biopsy results were reviewed by the MDT after my operation to ensure the results were accurate and complete. The only additional thing I'd recommend for Miss Tipples patients if they are having a hysterectomy would be an appointment with a POGP physio before your operation so you have a baseline for your pelvic floor strength. That's just a personal view though.

Initial consultation & procedures were dealt with well & quite quick. However, I then had to chase for a follow up, as there was still no reason identified for my diagnosis. The secretary is difficult to get hold, often no replies to emails, so followed up through Spire secretaries. Eventually got a telephone appt, but didn't get called, was then told I should have gone in-person. Next appt cancelled at short notice. Re-schedule appt the Professor didn't turn up, was then told clinic was cancelled, but had no notification, so resulted in a wasted journey. Not sure if I can now be bothered with the hassle to follow up on my health issues!
