From the Moment I met Prof Patel at our first consultation, I knew I was in excellent hands. He explained the surgery that I required (whipple) in great detail and answered the questions that myself and my Wife had with great care and compassion and really made me feel a lot happier and comfortable as to what I should expect over the coming months. In hospital, the Prof once again demonstrated to me his passion for, just being one of the best at what he does. Everytime he came to see how I was progressing, still in hospital, post op, he listen intently to how I was feeling, not just physically but mentally as well and showed me so much compassion, love and care, even on Christmas morning the Prof came in to see how I was doing, he didn't need to, when many had finished work for the holiday. I am very pleased with the treatment and after care received from Mr Bonanomi. he is very professional but at the same time has excellent people skills. Before the surgery he took time to explain everything, properly arranging everything from the pre op consultations to post op consultations in a very organised manner. A very skilled surgeon who preformed my complexed surgery successfully. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. I felt that he actually listened to my fears and treated me as a patient should be treated which in my experience with very qualified surgeons is a rarity.
