The staff in the reception area were very friendly and treated me with respect. The environment was clean and tidy. The vending machine and seating helped to make my experience very pleasant.

Booking a consultation with Dr Ratheesh was a straightforward process and the website was user-friendly. Dr Ratheesh was extremely professional and approachable/friendly during our consultation; his clinical expertise really helped me to make an informed decision about my health. Excellent. Reception very efficient and friendly. Doctor Buckman was very personable, and met all my needs thoroughly.

HCA ancillary staff were excellent and friendly, putting me at ease. The one exception is that despite being fully covered by private medical insurance (incl pre-authorisation codes and competing multiple online forms and confirming details) the HCA administrative/ reception staff on arrival were overly focused on (and their primary priority is to) obtain credit card details and associated authorisation for extra procedures and tests which go beyond the scope of the referral and pre-authorisation in case suggested. The requested authorisation is open-ended and requested at a point when patients are vulnerable. The HCA admin staff were unable to explain why authorisation was required in my circumstances with full insurance coverage - all they could manage was a weak “it’s just our process”.

The overall experience from start to finish was fantastic, the calm manner everything was explained in, to the day of the eye surgery and the surgery itself went smoothly. However on completion of all the procedures it was at the point of payment where there an issue, the fee had been emailed correctly which reflected the invoice, however the team taking the payment were adamant the price had changed, this was resolved but looked very unprofessional, the payment system needs to be reviewed. The Practice Manager was not at fault here all communication made from start to finish was clear.
