My gallbladder was full of stones and needed to be removed to reduce risk of pancreatitis. AXA had referred me yet again to a consultant who was not a surgeon. I would have had to call AXA and have another appointment with a surgeon but Dr Vasilikostas fitted me in after his clinic finished and scheduled me for surgery within two weeks. He was kind, reassuring and professional.

Excellent surgeon who, following diagnosing problem where others had not, operated ridding me of increasing, uncomfortable pain. Very happy that I was able to have the very experienced Mr Shamsi El Hasani as my surgeon. Would highly recommend his expertise as a surgeon & his professional informative & caring manner.

Rather light approach to my post-op experience. I am seriously concerned as to my post-op progress, yet I felt dismissed. Despite expressing my issues, I had literally 5 minutes consultation while being told that I'm doing great. Constant vomiting and inability to eat\hold the food down 2 months after the surgery does not reflect "doing great" in my opinion. I'm considering seeking a second opinion.

I came in very nervous about my session as I have been struggling with my weight and health for a while. But after the first 5mins Rachel really made me feel comfortable and the plan that we came up with was really for me to follow at home. Cant wait for our next session!

From the Moment I met Prof Patel at our first consultation, I knew I was in excellent hands. He explained the surgery that I required (whipple) in great detail and answered the questions that myself and my Wife had with great care and compassion and really made me feel a lot happier and comfortable as to what I should expect over the coming months. In hospital, the Prof once again demonstrated to me his passion for, just being one of the best at what he does. Everytime he came to see how I was progressing, still in hospital, post op, he listen intently to how I was feeling, not just physically but mentally as well and showed me so much compassion, love and care, even on Christmas morning the Prof came in to see how I was doing, he didn't need to, when many had finished work for the holiday. Ms Faby is very approachable, takes the time to get to know your dietary habits, medical history and anything that could have an impact on nutrition. Subsequently, she was swift at submitting an action plan with options and was professional with her follow up. Her input was a great boost to suppress snacking. I achieved my goal without any internal struggle.
