Mr Razvi was very friendly and very knowledgeable in his field. He explained everything in such great detail and I felt comfortable throughout my whole patient journey. My procedure was a success and I wish I had done it sooner.

When I came in for my appointment I was made to feel that the doctor was interested and had the time and understanding. You feel very vulnerable in these situations at times. But I always felt I could ask as many questions whatever they maybe along the way. Even though I had opted to pay for this procedure myself and the overall experience was definitely worth the final result of pain free and more mobility in the use of my leg. I wish I had gone private earlier. Mr Griffiths fully explained what to expect in the future as well he made me aware of the arthritis and best ways to manage this. It’s definitely worth an initial consultation if nothing else to give you peace of mind.

I learnt 50pct of information regarding my diagnosis through questions rather than having it explained in full straight off. Perhaps he assumed I had more medical knowledge than I do. He was very pleasant though.

The experience was excellent in every respect. I did think I/we had made a decision to proceed with a hip replacement, instead of other measures described, but now that I have read the Professor`s post-consultation letter, I am not sure a replacement is agreed. For the avoidance of doubt, I DO want to have a hip rplacement, please.

As a fellow medical practitioner, Mr Angus Lewis was known to me before I became a patient, by his reputation and was recommended to me by surgical colleagues for assessment of my hip problems. All I can say is that I feel very fortunate that I have had him as my surgeon. I have now had two total hip replacements performed by Angus, and I have nothing but praise for him. He has assessed every stage of my somewhat tricky hip problems with great care and thoughtfulness, personalizing the management plan to my particular needs. The first procedure two years ago has been a huge success, to the extent that I forget I ever had anything done. The second replacement, this time under spinal an aesthetic, was done just 10 days ago, and I am already mobilizing with one crutch and am virtually pain free. I cannot recommend Mr Angus Lewis and his team highly enough.

Mr Aston explained clearly the treatment, the risks and was able to answer my questions. I would have liked to have had more time to ask questions digest the answers before and after the surgery (on the day).
