Prof. Hadjianastassiou has done major surgery for me, saving my life. I had cancer of my kidney extending into my main vein in the abdomen (the Vena Cava) and he managed to open the big vein and remove the cancer and the L kidney and I am still alive and well 8 years after! In keeping consistency with the other reviewers I found Prof to be an excellent professional but also a human being who cares for his patient. And not only that: his care about me is continuous, so after 8 years, now in 2024, he intervened after my request, and made all the necessary arrangements to have me operated successfully as soon as possible in order to to correct the stenosis of my right renal artery so that my remaining right kidney can be saved. I will be grateful to him as long as I live.

Throughout my consultations and procedures with Miss Rudarakanchana she was always informative, knowledgeable, reassuring, warm and empathetic. She was also very approachable and patiently answered all my questions (even the probably silly ones) clearly and openly. Couldn’t wait to get paid! But don’t worry all done now. Funny I met another colleague at Kingston hospital and got treated very differently. All depends on whether you go private or NHS I guess! Would I have been treated the same if I was paying?? Still haven’t got any answers! Go private get talked to nicely. Go NHS made to feel terrible just feeling unwell
