I am 15 days post op today after my total knee replacement. I have been seeing Mr Vedi for a couple of years and he tried everything before the replacement. He is very informative, knowledgeable, professional and a good bed side manner. I always had 100% faith in Mr vedi and never worried about anything as his kind manner made me relax. I now have a lovely neat scar and my future is so much brighter with my new knee. Physio has started and am walking with one crutch outdoors and nothing indoors. Bravo Mr Vedi

On all aspects of my treatment for a total hip replacement from initial consultation, operation to discharge Mr Sturridge was excellent. A considered approach to my osteoarthritis problem allowed me to make the decision best for me after careful explanation by Mr Sturridge of the options. His approach was considered and informative which coupled with his obvious 'skills' gave me much confidence regarding a successful outcome - which I'm pleased to say is the result - up and walking after a couple of days and without aids after 5-6 weeks. Can’t rate Mr Davidson highly enough! I was referred to him by my GP due to osteoarthritis in both knees. X-rays had already confirmed this. On our first meeting, he X-rayed my hips and found the same problem. One total hip replacement and total replacement of both knees was therefore necessary. This was August. By March all three operations were completed. Before he started, we checked his statistics online. In a trade where practice really does make perfect, he had completed a greater than average number of procedures with less than average complications. This is no doubt due to his thoroughness and attention to detail which was mentioned by his registrars in post-op discussion as being above average. He instils confidence with his cheerful, friendly and humorous personality and a calmness which belies the stress that must accompany this job. My operations were all completed successfully and I am very pleased with the results. At 68 I had developed the gait of a 90-year old, but have been transformed by these ops into......a normal 68 year old (at least)! Many, many thanks.

From my very first consultation with Mr Pollalis, through my partial knee replacement operation itself, my recovery process and our follow up consultation last week he has never failed to inspire and justify my absolute confidence in his skills. Mr Pollalis is an excellent communicator. At our first meeting he described very clearly why an Oxford knee replacement was the optimal treatment option for my medial compartment arthritis. He then detailed exactly what the procedure would involve, the risks involved and what he would do to mitigate each one. Mr Pollalis emphasised his own very keen interest in rapid recovery following knee replacement surgery and in conjunction with his anaesthetist has developed a very detailed and structured recovery plan which he shared with us from the start. The plan covers all aspects of post operative care and pain management and is customised for each patient. The operation itself was a fantastic success. After one night in hospital I was discharged less than 24 hours later and was able to walk to the car on crutches - with no need for a wheelchair. Three days later I dispensed with the crutches completely. I followed Mr Pollalis’ recovery plan rigorously and was able to stop taking opioid painkillers after only five days. By following his plan I was able to complete all the exercises specified by the Physiotherapists which I am sure led to my very speedy recovery. Now, six weeks after my operation I consider my recovery to be complete and I am thrilled with the results of my procedure. I would have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending Mr Pollalis and his team to anyone needing knee replacement surgery and am personally profoundly grateful for his excellent work.
