The criticism is that I was put on the spot to make a rushed decision on the treatment. It would have been sensible to let me go away with the options of treatment and be able to discuss with my family and then make a decision. Now I feel as though I was swayed away from going for the surgery as I wasn’t keen on it.

Mr Siddiqui has been great to engage with. He gave me a lot of comfort and confidence about decisions and processes. My shoulder is still quite sore, which is why I scored the overall experience as 4 rather than 5

I was very nervous about having an operation on my spine but Mr. Prezerakos's thorough explanation of my medical situation and how the operation would be conducted gave me the confidence to go ahead with the procedure. He didn't deny that there could be complications but his clear explanation helped me to realise that these were manageable risks and that the benefits outweighed the relatively minor chances of something not going to plan. The outcome has been incredible, whereas before the operation I could only walk a short distance without needing to rest because of the pain around my hips and thighs, I now have no pain whatsoever when walking and only minor discomfort around the incision wound, its just over 4 weeks since I had the operation and I'm confident that even that small discomfort will soon be a distant memory.

I had the pleasure of seeing JGC a few times following injuries to my shoulders from wrestling, including two dislocations to one side. I found his care, knowledge, support and advice to be very professional and helpful too, and would whole heartedly recommend him. Hoping to keep in touch but not in the same circumstances. I'm so grateful to have found Dr Wharton. Following a bad wrist fracture and needing a 2nd surgery, Dr Wharton has taken the time to re-explain everything, to go through all the scans with me and explained all the available options, without rushing. He was friendly, approachable and understanding. I left the appointment really impressed and feeling really positive about the next steps in my treatment and re-assured about the upcoming surgery. After the surgery, Dr Wharton did a real follow-up, making sure I was ok, even calling me when I got home from the hospital.
