Clinical Interests:
Mr Radford is a very experienced cataract and eyelid surgeon.He has performed thousands of cataract and eyelid operations. He is a trainer in both cataract and oculoplastic (eyelid) surgery with over 18 years experience. He offers a full patient tailored outcome, which for many results in spectacle free sight, for both distance and reading vision after cataract surgery. This DOES NOT require expensive laser surgery and is potentially available for both NHS and private care referrals.Mr Radford has been a national lecturer and trainer in the field of glaucoma. He introduced safe glaucoma surgery to the Preston area in 2005, which greatly reduces the need for repeat procedures and reduces infection risks thereby preserving sight.
Academic Background:
Mr Radford is an Honorary Senior Lecturer of the University of Manchester in recognition of his contribution to Undergraduate training. He has written and supervised numerous published articles in the field of Ophthalmology. He has led audit and evaluation of the safety and efficacy of treatments and is a reviewer for the British Journal of Ophthalmology.
