Mrs Archana Kulkarni is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust with extensive academic and clinical experience. She is also a visiting consultant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Her specialism is in managing adult and paediatric strabismus (squints) and paediatric eye conditions. She trained in Ophthalmology in the West Midlands and completed a fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, as well as a combined paediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, and adult strabismus fellowship at the University Hospital Leicester.

At Nuffield Health, Mrs Kulkarni offers a range of treatments and tests, including phacoemulsification, refractive eye surgery, drooping eyelids (ptosis correction), cataract surgery, lacrimal surgery, and squint surgery.

Mrs Kulkarni’s clinical and research interests include small incision squint surgery, infantile haemangiomas, ocular surface problems, and proptosis in children. She also has interests in ocular presentation of ciliopathies, assistive technology for children with visual impairment, and nystagmus.

Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Royal College of Ophthalmologist in the UK, Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Society of Midlands, and the British Isles Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Association

In her free time, Mrs Kulkarni enjoys painting, wildlife, trekking, hockey, basketball, badminton, table tennis, tennis, and pottery.
