He Immediately showed us what the solution was and how we were going to achieve it! That very same day it was as if we had a new baby. Our little one finally got some well deserved rest and so did we. We finally had a smile on our face after a very long and tiresome start to parenthood. However, this is just part of what makes an exceptional experience. From the first consultation Professor Purkayastha was attentive and engaged. He listened and responded with clear explanations and positive suggestions. I found him approachable and he addressed any doubts and questions, from me and my family, both knowledgeably and reassuringly and with appropriate humour. Perhaps the most outstanding feature of my experience with Professor Purkayastha was his compassion and clear devotion to what he does. He shows humility and never underestimates the trust placed in him, considering it an honour to be able to help. It was a privilege to be treated by him and my surgery has been a huge success! Special thanks also to Dr Alex Wickham, consultant anaesthetist, who prepared me for surgery and allayed any fears. Also to Marcella who makes everything run smoothly and for always being friendly and helpful.

Dr Rahman was really professional and thorough with a very reassuring bedside manner. He assessed my upper GI symptoms, ordered appropriate tests and has presented me with an analysis of the results and a treatment plan in a timely fashion. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommended him an an extremely experienced specialised Gastroenterologist.
