I have been extremely impressed and reassured by Dr Pericleous' care of me over the last three years. I was suffering from a serious attack of ulcerative colitis when I first became his patient and since then my symptoms have entirely disappeared and I am able to led a completely normal life. He has also been very assiduous in following up any indications of other possible complications arising from the illness, and keeping me fully informed about the natur of the illness and the rationale behind his decisions. I feel he always has my best interests at heart and feel fortunate to have come under his care when I did.

Dr Pericleous is a very friendly and approachable consultant. He has an excellent manner with both patients and family and is able to deliver difficult news in a very respectful way. When I received my diagnosis he was sensitive but explained very clearly what I needed to do to try and maintain my health. He was honest, and this was honesty was gratefully received. Since my diagnosis Dr Pericleous has been helpful and has set out clearly and logically the possible directions and the next steps for my treatment. When I needed extra support or have an ongoing question Dr Pericleous responds promptly, which again when newly diagnosed is so important. Dr Pericleous has a very good ‘bedside’ manner and is able to include well-timed and well-placed humour in his care, which when I and my wife were nervous and scared, was appreciated. Thank you for your help and support.

Dear Dr Pericleous I wanted to write to you to express my gratitude for all your help and support following my operation at Royal Surrey County Hospital. You’ve made me feel extremely reassured during a difficult time for me and my family. You have a lovely calm demeanour and your patients are lucky to have you as their doctor. I have really appreciated your detailed explanation of my condition and the time you have taken to answer all my questions and concerns. I cannot praise you enough!

From the initial consultation Dr. Pericleous was both reassuring and meticulous in explaining every detail of my case. Expedient in arranging 2 MRI scans, an endoscopy and a colonoscopy within a short timeframe. Before the slightly invasive investigations I was informed of what was going to happen during the procedure and took an extra precaution in offering an ECG to ensure I was safe during it. My follow up consultation was highly informative and positive results were fully explained. A correct diagnosis gave me the exact cause of my problem and a further referral to a Nutritionist will help in my dietary needs in the future. Dr. Pericleous is a caring and professional person who really treats his patients as individuals, always referring to them in the first person; greatly appreciated.
