Spire hospital is excellent, every visit. Now, the pharmacy service is something that we won't be using from now on... very, very slow

I very much like this hospital. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes and the staff are always pleasant. The hot chocolate machine is a lovely additiona and the specialists are world class.

HCA ancillary staff were excellent and friendly, putting me at ease. The one exception is that despite being fully covered by private medical insurance (incl pre-authorisation codes and competing multiple online forms and confirming details) the HCA administrative/ reception staff on arrival were overly focused on (and their primary priority is to) obtain credit card details and associated authorisation for extra procedures and tests which go beyond the scope of the referral and pre-authorisation in case suggested. The requested authorisation is open-ended and requested at a point when patients are vulnerable. The HCA admin staff were unable to explain why authorisation was required in my circumstances with full insurance coverage - all they could manage was a weak “it’s just our process”.

My experience was a good one as all the staff were polite and helpful.

From start to finish Nottingham Spires was efficient. Every member of staff I spoke to were friendly, put you at ease and proficient in their role. The building was clean, the food was lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
