Mr Aftab has the special and rare ability to treat you like a human, not just a patient, and that means the world to me. I feel immensely lucky to have found Mr Aftab. You can google any doctor, and if you search Mr Aftab’s accolades, it is obvious that he is one of the best orthopaedic surgeons not just in the UK, but in the world. I don’t have to specify that he is a master of his craft, it is all available online. But what those qualifications and articles don’t tell you is how compassionate he is, how much he cares for each and every case he reviews and treats, and how deeply it matters to him that the patient walks out with the best possible care they could’ve received. I have been under the care of Mr Aftab for over a year now, he has treated me with 3 nerve root injections. I am now just recovering and soon will have surgery (Microdiscectomy) performed by him. This is a decision we have made together, and not something I have been forced with or been made to decide by myself. Before any and every procedure, however big or small, Mr Aftab educates me on the benefits and risks and never pushes for an outcome. He truly believes that it is the patient that can make the best choices for themselves and gives me all of information and help I need so I can get the best outcome, whether it is pain management or surgery or just a consultation. Recently, while sorting out my insurance, I was briefly matched with another surgeon, who refused to accept my sudden rise pain concerns, and flat out refused to sign off on an MRI that I thought I needed, I was made to feel like I was at fault for being in so much pain even seeking that surgeon’s opinion. Thankfully, shortly afterwards my insurance was sorted and I immediately contacted Mr Aftab again. Even though he sees dozens of patients each week, he distinctly remembered the exact timeline and details of my case, and just based off my email, promptly signed off on an MRI without me even having to plead for one. It turned out that my condition had Infact progressed and the MRI made it clear that surgery was now an option I needed to consider seriously. Had I not received this care and that too so fast, I would’ve had to endure much more pain. He also offered me an epidural injection the very next day to try and alleviate the pain until my case is reviewed and approved for surgery, which I am confident will go well. I am an otherwise healthy athlete who has suffered an unfortunate accident that has led to a chronic condition. It is not just that I am in debilitating pain, but it is my mental health that has suffered so much, and also affects my partner too who is caring for me. So more than anything, it matters to me that Mr Aftab cares so much, answers all of my questions, and makes me aware of all possible treatment options. He truly treated me with respect and love, and showed me so much compassion. I am truly grateful for the treatment I have received. On a personal note, Mr Aftab is always positive, he is full of energy and really loves what he does - it fills me with confidence that I am in the best of hands under his care. I feel safe and comforted, there’s literally nothing more I can ask from a surgeon.

I was very impressed with the consultation. With Dr Singh you feel genuinely listened to and that he genuinely takes his time to understand. Has such a nice manner. Knowledgeable, experienced and talked through the clinical aspects in a relevant, helpful and easy to understand way, and always in a collaborative way. The communications from the team were clear, prompt and helpful. Recommended without hesitation.

Mr Bull inspires confidence. He explained the issues and options clearly and like a human being! I felt listened to and able to ask questions. I haven’t yet had the procedure he advised but I believe it is the right course of action at this stage.

Dr. Dalili was able to talk me through the procedure and best possible outcomes. I felt at ease and did not experience any painful or negative symptoms.

Mr Sayal, was very professional in advising the in depth details of the operation and procedures for my ACDF operation entailing a clear positive approach in which gave me full confidence that the procedure was 100% correct for me long term.

Really listened, resolved my issue and put my mind at rest. Excellent bedside manner, highly recommended.

Mr Banerjee gave me one round of steroid injections which worked flawlessly. He was very flexible with offering phone consultations when it suited me and gave me a clear plan of next steps for the unlikely event that my pain comes back. I highly recommend him

Ms Faby is very approachable, takes the time to get to know your dietary habits, medical history and anything that could have an impact on nutrition. Subsequently, she was swift at submitting an action plan with options and was professional with her follow up. Her input was a great boost to suppress snacking. I achieved my goal without any internal struggle.
