Very friendly & clean

I was looked after at the RNOH when I was undergoing major spinal surgery, March 2024. The staff there were amazing, from when we arrived a day early, they still accommodated for us, to just coming in and checking up on me regularly. They are all really friendly and will come and help you quickly if you need something. The hospital itself is in a really nice area, surrounded by lots of trees and the countryside, so a very nice place to look out of from your window in your room, or when you are having a walk around. The garden was lovely too, it allowed a chance to be able just to have a short walk outside without having to go too far away from your room. The food was good, compared to lots of other hospital catering, and there were always snacks and drinks by your bed if you every get hungry. Overall, it is a really good hospital!

Obtained appointments quickly, friendly and helpful staff.

Car park was busy but I managed to get a space. There was a friendly welcome at the Outpatient's reception. The booking in system was a bit fiddly but okay.

I feel totally comfortable at Shirley Oaks, everyone I was in contact with through the process from walking in to leaving were professional al and friendly. Easy parking, good facilities.

My overall experience was fantastic as soon as I walked in I was instantly created with warmth. Everyone I spoke to was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was also seen to very quickly even though I arrived early.

10/10 experience I’ve been waiting with NHS nearly 3 years for this operation. I was passed Over to Nuffield ..with in months dates and plans had been made to get my operation done
