He didn't deny that there could be complications but his clear explanation helped me to realise that these were manageable risks and that the benefits outweighed the relatively minor chances of something not going to plan. The outcome has been incredible, whereas before the operation I could only walk a short distance without needing to rest because of the pain around my hips and thighs, I now have no pain whatsoever when walking and only minor discomfort around the incision wound, its just over 4 weeks since I had the operation and I'm confident that even that small discomfort will soon be a distant memory.
