I had a minor inguinal hernia, repaired by Simon Atkinson at the Cleveland Clinic, London, ten weeks ago, in May 2024. My initial consultation with him was at St Thomas’ Hospital London, and I was impressed with his friendly manner and his obvious knowledge and professionalism.  He was kind and clear in explaining the options available to me: do nothing (he rated my hernia as only 2 out of 10 in severity), have a laparoscopic (key-hole) repair, or an open (normal) hernia repair.  He listened to my concerns and answered all my questions in a manner that put me completely at ease, and he made me feel absolutely happy that he was to be my surgeon.  My choice was to have an open repair privately. I’m very pleased with the results, which is a testament to his surgical ability, and at my six-week post-op review he explained the time it would take me to get back to full fitness. If I ever need another hernia repair, or indeed if I need to be treated for any problem in his area of expertise, then I would choose to have him operate on me again.

From my initial meeting and assessment on the surgery that would be carried out I felt comfortable with the information given by Professor Frampton. Everything was made clear on the procedure and possible outcome. 10 days after the operation I am recovering well.

My experience with Dr. Al-Joudeh was great. I have seen many Bupa doctors, and most of them just waste time. However, Dr. Al-Joudeh was different. He looked after me and was straight to the point. He took the time to listen to me and explained in detail what was causing my health issues and what I should do going forward.

Dr Krell operates on the evidence, doesn't over-promise, delivers both good and bad news in a frank manner. He's first-rate. I could not have asked for better.

I have recently had keyhole surgery done by Mr de’Liguori Carino to resolve a malignant insulinoma. At the initial consultation he clearly explained the condition and treatment in a calm and reassuring manner. He addressed all my queries and concerns, and this was applied throughout the treatment. Written inputs were also prompt, clear and suitably detailed. The major surgery was completed without complication, and I am well on the road to recovery. Feedback was kindly provided to a family member after the operation. Mr de’Liguori Carino has put a comprehensive future treatment plan in place. I am extremely grateful to him for the excellent care and treatment he provided. I can highly recommend him to cover surgical requirements and will actively seek to receive treatment from him again if the need ever arises.

From the Moment I met Prof Patel at our first consultation, I knew I was in excellent hands. He explained the surgery that I required (whipple) in great detail and answered the questions that myself and my Wife had with great care and compassion and really made me feel a lot happier and comfortable as to what I should expect over the coming months. In hospital, the Prof once again demonstrated to me his passion for, just being one of the best at what he does. Everytime he came to see how I was progressing, still in hospital, post op, he listen intently to how I was feeling, not just physically but mentally as well and showed me so much compassion, love and care, even on Christmas morning the Prof came in to see how I was doing, he didn't need to, when many had finished work for the holiday. I am recovering really well and have huge admiration respect and gratitude to Professor Ameet Patel, I thank you and all your team. Paul D

I found Professor Humadi totally attentive, compassionate, professional and considerate to my plight and needs. I never had any doubts to his immense talents and now with hindsight I am very grateful that it was him, Professor Humadi who had been selected to deal with me.
