He is an absolutely outstanding physician; clearly very able, approachable, friendly, interested and involved. He is the model of what a modern consultant shoul be. This means that consulting him does not become a frightening experience but rather a session where one is advised and examined by someone who is really interested in and concerned for the person before him. I cannot speak highly enough of him. He really does go the second mile. he evn took the trouble to phone through my bllod test results from where he was on holiday in Greece. That is typical of him. Over a number of years I have been able to see how he operates; he treats everyone with that same degree of special care and attention.

I've been referred to see Prof. Fields in May 2024, to treat mild underlying anaemia, and meeting him, discussing my health concerns and steps to take moving towards treatment and recovering, have been nothing but great. His knowledge is extensive, his bedside manners are pristine, and his empathy, compassion, respect and professionalism during our consultations so far has given me the certainty that I could not be in any better hands, and very likely I've found my haematoligist for life. Absolutely thriled with his course of action so far. Big shout, as well, to his team of secretaries, who do their best to accomodate appointments, exams, scans, in the shortest time possible, and offering flexibility, when needed (even at short notice). Super efficient. I'm simply delighted and would not hesitate for a second to reccomend him and his whole clinic to family and friends in need. Sat is currently looking after my husband and me by virtue of being at my husband’s side at all the consultations.
