Had seen Professor Fields 4 years ago, and was very impressed with the care and treatment then. So when my GP said there had been changes that needed looking into, it was a no brainer there was only one person I want to be referred to Prof Fields. And I wasn't disappointed, everything from making the first appointment, to being kept informed and being discharged was exemplary. Highly recommend.

Professor Fields is a very empathetic consultant. He truly cares. When you have suffered with a condition for a long period of time, it can feel like there is nothing more that can be done. However, Professor Fields performs a thorough examination and leaves no stone unturned. He really wants to get to the bottom of the problem. He is kind and caring and that in itself makes you feel better. He takes his time to understand a patient’s medical history and makes you feel at ease while doing so. He was very helpful when I needed to find another consultant for a peripheral but connected issue which ensured continuity of care. It gave me hope that between the two learned colleagues my case could be solved or at the very least well managed. As an added bonus his secretary, Gaynor, is very helpful in managing the admin associated with the appointments.

Professor Fields is a kind, humane, empathic delight. His gentleness as a person is only rivalled by his aggressive, raptor-like pursuit of a thorough diagnosis. No tiny stone is left unturned. You will wait a while because of this determination for clarity; the wait and attention to detail is well worthwhile. You will absolutely love the Professor - I did.
