Found the clinic to be staffed with very friendly and knowledgeable people. Mr Whu, my consultant explained everything about my problem and related to all the options that I could take. I opted for the operation and I cannot fault the work he did which has given me a very good outcome. I am very satisfied.

Although my overall experience was good and I am happy I had the surgery, there are some negatives to my experience. I was put off by the doctor and nurse chatting socially over me all during the procedure. I felt it was too much and I wanted the doctor to fully concentrate on my procedure. No one told me anything about what I might experience afterwards in the early stages. I had a really strong pounding in my ears. Also no one asked me if I had tinnitus, which I have, and which was much worse for a few days. I was anxious this would never improve. I fed this back to the nurse who rang me and she said she would talk to a doctor. However no one ever contacted me about it. I don't think enough care was taken to make sure both my ears looked the same. That's been disappointing. I find I'm now unable to wear earrings for pierced ears. This is beyond disappointing as I'd been wearing them for 45 years. They are always difficult and sore to put in and take out now. I feel you should advise people to leave re piercing for a much longer period than 6 weeks, which is what I was advised would be enough time. Finally, I needed more of the ointment supplied and did not find it easy to obtain more without saying what it was for, which I was reluctant to do. A larger tube would help here.

My experience at The Vesey was fantastic from start to finish. They were quick and friendly in responding to a number of questions I had at the start, booking the appointment was simple and prior to this, the consultant contacted me to ensure I was aware that additional tests may be required on the day. This meant that I had no horrible surprises which was very much appreciated. The hospital itself is very clean and has a warm and friendly atmosphere. We Saw Dr Tristan Ramcharan who was brilliant with my anxious 9 year old daughter. He was very knowledgable and invested time in understanding the background to why we had made the appointment. I was very pleased with my experience and wouldnt hesitate to recommend or use The Vesey in the future.

The hospital was clean, tidy and the facilities were excellent. Didn't enjoy the check in process and the self check in failed but apart from this it wad overall a good experience

My experience at the hospital was fantastic. The secretary was very helpful from start to finish with my surgery. After the operation I had my own room and the ward staff were unbelievable attentive and friendly. The staff regularly checked on me and I didn’t feel worried to ask for medicine, food, water, help moving at any point. I don’t feel quite ready to head home on day 3 as my blood pressure was very low for the first few days and I had trouble getting out of bed. The staff allowed me to stay another night and I understood my feelings so I stayed another night which greatly helped with my confidence before heading home. I have received good communication from the hospital through letters and texts messages reminding me of appointments which has been helpful. The Royal Orthopaedic hospital has delivered everything and more whilst going though my major operation. I feel comfortable moving forward in the future with the processes and everyone who works there.
