I came to Dr Bownes for a second opinion on two MRIs of my knee. He did not provide a clear response to whether my ACL was damaged despite repeatedly asking him, and he did not seem worried my knee pain was left undiagnosed. I did not feel my concerns were heard during or after the meeting, or that he looked at the MRIs carefully, and he seemed to have made up his mind before looking at them. Dr. Bownes did not seem very interested in my case.

André is a 5* physio! I suffer from TMJ, which causes significant pain in my jaw and causes it to occasionally lock. After one treatment with André, I felt so much relief, he really took the time to determine the issue, gave me hands on treatment and provided recommendation for a course of treatment. I've tried other physio's in the past and none have been able to help ease the pain. After my course of treatment and self management recommendations, André provided, I've been pain free. André is highly professional and it's clear he truly cares about his patients and ensuring they get the best outcomes. I came to Gus with a calf injury which had stopped me running eight weeks out from a marathon. Gus diagnosed the issue, helped me strengthen the muscles to prevent it returning and gave me a training plan that got me back on track. He’s knowledgeable, practical and realistic. He understood I didn’t want a zero risk plan - but to get to the event and complete it (which I did with no pain and a time I’m delighted with).
