I came to Gus with a calf injury which had stopped me running eight weeks out from a marathon. Gus diagnosed the issue, helped me strengthen the muscles to prevent it returning and gave me a training plan that got me back on track. He’s knowledgeable, practical and realistic. He understood I didn’t want a zero risk plan - but to get to the event and complete it (which I did with no pain and a time I’m delighted with). Martin was incredibly professional and friendly. He worked with me to understand where my pain is coming from and propose specific exercises. Over the 5-6 months I developed a better understanding of what I need to change in my workout and implemented his recommendations. I went to see Mr. Livingstone after having severe nerve pain in my feet having recently been diagnosed with diabetes. I cannot begin to describe how excellent he was in helping me. I was extremely anxious with many worries but he has an excellent bedside manner and helped me understand so much in why I was having these symptoms. He allayed any fears I had and did a full battery of tests on my feet with monofilaments, a Doppler test and other tests. I’m so fortunate I saw him and have already had a follow-appointment. His skills at listening and his thoroughness when checking my feet are nothing short of exceptional! If you have foot issues and can make it to his surgery do it!
