The whole medical team was first class, from pre-theatre admission to pre-discharge nursing. He literally took my hand, with so much love & so much compassion, and then he guided me over the finish line, when I was so desperate & at the lowest point in my life, having been a very professional architect for over 30 years who was always in charge & in full control of some of the the richest & most powerful people in the world BUT for once I felt overwhelmed & completely confused as a very accomplished Black Man in a predominately white UK. I believe he’d have done the same for anyone regardless of their social class or race because he cares about his patients regardless of their race or social status.
