I had my surgery at Clementine Churchill on the 2nd May 2024. My weight loss journey started a month before that when I had my consultation with Aruna Munasinghe. As soon as I'd spoke with him I knew he was the surgeon for me. We spoke lengthly about the different procedures and what was best for me. Operation day I was very nervous, but I was soon put at ease when he called round to my private room before surgery. We chatted and the nerves soon went. I woke up from surgery with minimal pain and no after effects from the surgery. Id certainly say I had one of the best consultants do my surgery. Absolutely no regrets. You will be in great hands with Aruna Munasinghe.

My gallbladder was full of stones and needed to be removed to reduce risk of pancreatitis. AXA had referred me yet again to a consultant who was not a surgeon. I would have had to call AXA and have another appointment with a surgeon but Dr Vasilikostas fitted me in after his clinic finished and scheduled me for surgery within two weeks. He was kind, reassuring and professional.

Charlotte was very kind and helpful in advising me about how to change my diet to include healthier options. I have been able to make good progress and Charlotte has been very supportive.

I’ve done dieting in the past, put myself through what I believed was calorie deficit and lost weight almost immediately, it was great but over the years it piled back on. Although the weight on the scale made me happy, I still wasn’t happy with how I looked, my strength or stamina. Over the last two years without realising, I was at my heaviest and wanted to make a lifestyle change. Danny eased me into training and highlighted the importance of consistency and gradually building strength. We didn’t cut out any food groups from my diet and even had Christmas / other social events to enjoy food in between yet still see results. Danny helped me understand nutrition better and pushed me to improve every week. This was the support, guidance and accountability I needed.
