She was charming and caring and I was really moved by how she taught me how to wash my finger and dress it. It was a blend of both an old fashioned matron and masterful surgeon all in one and I left feeling very well looked after.

I came to Dr Bownes for a second opinion on two MRIs of my knee. He did not provide a clear response to whether my ACL was damaged despite repeatedly asking him, and he did not seem worried my knee pain was left undiagnosed. I did not feel my concerns were heard during or after the meeting, or that he looked at the MRIs carefully, and he seemed to have made up his mind before looking at them. Dr. Bownes did not seem very interested in my case.

I found Mr Wharton extremely kind and very sensitive to not only what was required to put my injury right, but also to the very difficult and traumatic period I was having at the time. He has done a brilliant job for me and I couldn't recommend him or his team more highly - I was beautifully looked after from the moment I met him until my post op appointment.
